We believe responsibility begins with making fewer things—and making them well.

Francis de Lara works in limited quantities rather than following the cycle of seasonal mass production. Our designs remain part of evolving, timeless collections, replenished when required and reinterpreted through carefully chosen gemstones and finishes. They are not intended to become obsolete with the arrival of a new season. Our jewellery pieces are all hand made, created when it feels right.

Our eyewear collections build upon the ideas and forms that came before it. Established styles continue and evolve through new gemstone combinations, lens colours and engraved or textured finishes. These considered variations preserve the continuity of the house while ensuring that each edition remains limited, distinctive and genuinely scarce.

We prioritise responsibly sourced diamonds and natural coloured gemstones from members of the Responsible Jewellery Council, often incorporating vintage deadstock stones already in circulation, and working with small, family-run gemstone dealers. Aerospace-grade titanium is selected for its exceptional lightness, strength and longevity. Each piece is hand-finished in London and created to be worn, cared for and kept for many years. Our approach to eyewear is closer to fine jewellery than conventional fashion eyewear: considered materials, skilled craftsmanship, limited production and objects intended to endure. We do not claim perfection. We continue to examine our materials, suppliers, packaging and production choices, seeking thoughtful improvements wherever they can be made.
